The suspects were arrested by the Swift Response Squad on patrol and handed over to the Ekiti State Police Command, following a serious cross fire, which left the leader of the gang injured.
They are specialised in stealing vehicles and reselling same in another state, with relevant documents provided by another member of the gang.
It was reported that two Toyota Camry and two Nissan cabster were recovered from the gang alongside with one locally made gun and other dangerous weapons.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Victor Babayemi who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Felix Uyanna appealed to the people of the state for their continued support, to ensure that Ekiti is crime free.
