How to End Boko Haram Insurgency in Nigeria – AUN President, Ensign

The President of American University in Nigeria, based in Yola, Adamawa state, Margee Ensign, has offered a three pronged approach to end the deadly Boko Haram insurgency ravaging north-east Nigeria.
Ms. Ensign shared her thoughts with PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
She has lived in Yola for a very long time and seems to understand the area very well. She said the use of
military force, engaging the young population through education and an aggressive development of the region is the only viable solution to the insurgency in the zone.
The AUN president also runs an extensive peace program – the Adamawa Peace Initiative – in the North-east zone in Nigeria. The program is currently helping internally displaced people cope in Adamawa.
