Cleric Says Prayers Will Solve Nigeria’s Security Challenges

A cleric in Nigeria has called for prayers in tackling security challenges, insisting that the challenges can only be truly and totally overcome by divine intervention through constant Prayers.





The Spiritual leader of Cherubim and Seraphim Church Movement Worldwide, Most Revered Samuel Abioye, during a missionary visit to Niger State decried the current security challenges in the northeast and urged Christians to intensify their prayers especially for the 2015 general elections.

“I must confess to you that many people in the North are not feeling safe at the moment. We live in fear every day. Miscreants and never-do-wells will exploit the general spate of insecurity to cause problems during the elections and put the nation in peril,” he said

He further asked security agencies to improve on their intelligence gathering, saying that it can give the nation an upper hand in the fight against the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

The terrorist group has carried out series of attacks on villages, churches, schools and mosques in the northeast. the are demanding for an Islamic State and an end to western education.
